The International Journal of Economic and Business Insight (IJEBSI) has a strict stance against all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, and is committed to maintaining the integrity of the academic publishing process. We emphasize the importance of originality and proper citation practices in all submitted works.
Authors are expected to ensure that their manuscripts are entirely original and that any use of others' work or words is appropriately cited or quoted. Submissions found to contain instances of plagiarism will be automatically rejected, and the authors will be notified. Significant portions of a manuscript must not have been previously published. Authors must also adhere to the Author Guidelines of IJEBSI regarding redundant, duplicate, or fraudulent publications.
Before submitting a manuscript to IJEBSI, authors are strongly encouraged to conduct a plagiarism check using a reliable plagiarism detection tool. While we do not endorse any specific service, we recommend using Turnitin Plagiarism Scanner available at turnitin.com for its ease of use and thoroughness. The acceptable similarity rate for submissions to IJEBSI is a maximum of 20 percent. Authors should familiarize themselves with the instructions for using this plagiarism detector before their first submission.
Please note that IJEBSI is not affiliated with Turnitin or any other plagiarism detection service.
Authors are responsible for the content of their submissions and must confirm the originality of their work prior to submission. In cases of severe plagiarism identified by the Editorial Board, appropriate measures will be taken, which may include a lifetime ban on future submissions from the offending author(s).
This policy also applies to any material reproduced from another publication by the same author(s). If an author incorporates text, figures, or other content that has been previously published, it is essential to identify these sections and properly reference the original publication. Additionally, permission must be obtained from the original author and publisher.
If an author submits a manuscript to IJEBSI that significantly overlaps with a manuscript submitted to another journal simultaneously, and this overlap is discovered during the review process or after publication, the editor of the other journal will be notified, and the situation will be treated as a serious case of plagiarism. Significant overlap is defined as the use of identical or nearly identical figures and identical or slightly modified text that constitutes one-half or more of the paper.
